“Ashley and Chas had their first date copying music for their jazz duo at a locally owned place called Maumee Quickprint. Since the two started playing music together, they realized they were falling in love and after two years and many songs, were engaged. Planning the wedding was made easier with the talented specialists at Bartz Viviano (flowers, reception hall). The locations were decided upon and save the dates were sent. Ashley likes the 1920s and Chas wanted a morning coat with flaps on the back. From there, they chose light blue shade and called fourteen of their closest family and friends to participate in the wedding party fifteen with the groom’s niece, the flower girl, who wore a beautiful wreath and ran down the aisle.

The location of their wedding was St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on the corner of Conant and Broadway in Maumee. The church was full and the ceremony was beautiful. After assembling family photos in the church (the flower girl reached for the bride’s hand/so tender), the rest of the wedding party popped into a local hangout called The Village Idiot, known for live music and pizza. Photos by Yvonne had an impeccable artistic eye and took pictures along the strip and with wildflowers in the alley, which turned out to be the couple’s favorites!

Just a few miles away, the reception was put together with cream colored linens and large candelabras on the third floor ballroom of the Maumee River Yacht Club . Family photos in black and white hung on the walls and Ashley’s uncle played “Here Comes the Bride” on the bagpipes as they entered from the lot next to the Club. A jazz band from Toledo School for the Arts played out to the balcony. The dancing was kicked off with “Step in the Name of Love” and Ashley and Chas danced to “La Vie en Rose” a prelude to their honeymoon in Paris, France!

At the end of the night, many guests wandered into the park in front of the Yacht Club and alongside the river. Ashley and Chas linked arms and went back to their new home where music still plays through their windows.”

Brittany & Andy’s Perfect Country Wedding!

By  |  0 Comments

We love this sweet country wedding shot by Photos by Yvonne! Brittany and Andy wanted to have a traditional country wedding, so what better place to tie the knot than at The Stables in Whitehouse, Ohio? The couple was married in front of a quaint barn setup during a pristine daylight ceremony. The guests and bridal party went on to celebrate the night away inside of the rustic barn that was decorated with white lights, a vintage typewriter, and yummy desserts.3 generations of wedding rings

Brittany & Andy were married on October 17, 2015 at The Stables in Whitehouse, OH. What a unique setting for a beautiful wedding on a fall day. Brittany is one of those brides that is super fun, classy and is absolutely gorgeous – her personal style merged into their wedding style. The girls wore pink dresses, cowgirl boots with their jean jackets. The guys wore dark jeans, cowboy boots and suspenders with white shirts. Everyone looked awesome! Brittany, her friends & family adorned The Stables with dried hydrangeas, burlap, vintage table linens and personal touches. Let’s talk about that dessert table… Holy Cow, it was gorgeous – KatieCake’s Bakery did an outstanding job! Andy’s father made the church backdrop out of old barn wood for their ceremony – which was totally unique. These are true Ohio State & Michigan Fans! Brittany & Andy are Michigan fans so they has the state of Michigan as their cake topper, well Brittany’s mom had to get her 2 cents worth on the dessert table, so she make buckeyes with an OHIO sign – lol! Brittany & Andy were surrounded by SO much love from their friends and family. Their wedding party was so fun to work with and were open to some cool night/party shots at the end of the night.

REAL WEDDINGS: ASHLEY AND CHAS

Weddings with a 20-30s vibe that come through my inbox invariably get my attention.  Especially ones like this one by Ohio-based photographer, Yvonne Moryc focusing on every detail from florals to the fashion of Art Deco.  My favorite part of this wedding is how today’s modern mixes so well with the moderne element of yesteryear.  Said Yvonne about shooting this fabulous wedding,   “Ashley and Chas were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio.  A perfect day for a June wedding, Ashley and the girls were all done up at Ahava Spa Wellness Center in downtown Toledo. After the nuptials at St. Joseph’s, we had some wedding party fun at Walbridge Park with the bridge as our prop.  The guys wanted to recreate the Abbey Road album cover, how could I say ‘no’?
Ashley’s mom, Darrah, gave a speech about Chas and Ashley during the reception and she quoted a paragraph from The Book of Qualities.  Here’s what she said about Ashley: ‘Beauty is startling.  She wears a gold shawl in the summer and sells seven kinds of honey at the flea market. She is young and old at once, my daughter and my grandmother.  Beauty doesn’t anger easily, but she was annoyed with the journalist who kept asking her about her favorites as if she could have one favorite color or one favorite flower.  She does not mind questions though and is fond of riddles.  Beauty will dance with anyone who is brave enough to ask her.'”

Real Wedding – Brittany and Andy in Whitehouse, Ohio

The Stables Barn Wedding
Brittany and Andy chose a beautiful location for their barn wedding. The couple combined class and style as well as lots of family fun.
Brittany and Andy had a wedding that perfectly reflected their personal style. The venue was decorated with dried hydrangeas, burlap, vintage table linens and lots of personal touches. Andy’s father made the church backdrop out of old barn wood for their ceremony, and as Michigan fans the couple has the state of Michigan as their cake topper.
The bridesmaids had a unique bridal look of pink dresses, cowgirl boots with their jean jackets that complimented the feel of the wedding. Take a look at this beautiful wedding that was sent to us by Photos by Yvonne.
